School Group Booking Terms & Conditions
The Canterbury Tales Experience
1. Booking Process
Bookings can be made via:

Our online booking portal (with full payment by card), or
-
By phone or email, with payment via invoice

Upon confirmation of a booking and issuance of an invoice, this constitutes a legally binding agreement.
Provisional bookings can be held for up to 24 hours only, after which availability cannot be guaranteed.
2. Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of booking confirmation. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 3 days prior to the scheduled visit. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of the booking. For overdue payments exceeding 30 days, we reserve the right to apply interest at the standard Bank of England rate, along with any applicable administrative charges.
All prices are inclusive of 20% VAT.
3. Pricing Structure

Student rate: £10.95 per student

Free adult places: 1 adult per 10 students

Additional adults: £14.95 per person
For groups of 20 or more, bookings are private to your party.
4. Group Sizes & Adjustments
We allow:

A reduction of up to 10% of the original group size is allowed

Increases in group size at any time, subject to availability
Our experience operates on a timed entry basis, accommodating up to 10 persons every 10 minutes.
5. Cancellations & Amendments
For bookings of 20 persons or more:

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the visit date are eligible for a 50% refund

Cancellations made less than 30 days prior are non-refundable
Where possible, we may offer rescheduling subject to availability, but this is not guaranteed.
6. Arrival & Timings
The Canterbury Tales Experience operates a strict timed entry system.

Groups must arrive at least 5 minutes before their scheduled time slot

Late arrivals may result in reduced experience time or delayed entry

We will endeavour to accommodate late arrivals, but this is subject to availability
Opening hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
7. Supervision & Behaviour
The group leader and accompanying staff are fully responsible for:

Student supervision

Behaviour management
All visitors are expected to behave appropriately at all times.
We reserve the right to remove any individual or group displaying unacceptable behaviour, without refund.
8. Special Educational Needs & Accessibility
Schools must notify us in writing (via email) in advance of:

Accessibility needs
While we will make every effort to accommodate such needs, we cannot guarantee appropriate adjustments if these are not communicated in writing prior to the visit.
9. Health & Safety
All groups must follow onsite health and safety instructions at all times.
School staff remain responsible for student welfare throughout the visit.
10. Photography & Recording
Photography and video recording are not permitted inside the experience.
We may take photographs for promotional and marketing purposes. By attending, groups consent to this unless otherwise stated in writing prior to the visit.
11. Liability
The Canterbury Tales Experience shall not be held liable for:

Loss or damage to personal property

Personal injury (unless caused by proven negligence)

Delays or disruptions outside of our control
